Large corporations are the better option of the two because your future career will not only be more stable, but most companies hire within their organization. With the right skills a person is able to move up in the organization to increase their earning potential. There are very few opportunities in a small company except for the position you would be in once hired. Eventually everyone will grow tired of the same routine and move on to something more. It is human nature to want to improve yourself and become more relied upon.

A large corporation will also have benefits which you can take advantage of to lower your costs or improve you knowledge. Training, drug plans and dental care are very common offers in todays employment opportunities. Most will also offer raises on a yearly basis even if your position does not change.
A large company will allow you to network with many people at the same time. You can use this chance to learn from professionals and give yourself more exposure should you ever decide to leave the company. The more people who are familiar with your work (and pleased with it), the farther down your career path you will travel.
Small businesses come and go on a regular basis. Society is moving towards trusted brands and easy access which can not be found outside of a large corporation. It is called small business because of the fact that the company has very little recognition and usually a small region of customers.
