As a mother of back-to-back babies, here is my humble suggestion. Anything. The dream of every little baby thing pulling double duty down the road has been short lived, and suddenly - you find yourself cringing at the thought of baby shopping again, for your wallet if nothing else.

Bibs, outlet covers, ointment, oral gel, Tylenol (for the parents), spit up clothes, clothes, diapers, wipes, toys, home spa kit (again, for the parents). Almost anything you can think of, only, twice.

If you have tons of money to spend, or are good at bargain hunting (think about going in a pot with some other friends or family members) get some big ticket items. High chairs, cribs, crib mattresses, bedding, all the things that people really aren't prepared to buy double of at first, and haven't saved for. Which can really cause a pinch, so they need the most help with.

Baby sitting however is a great gift, but for a different reason than you would think. Not only is it important to have special time for the adults, it's important for special one on one time! Trade off weekends so parents can spend a little special time with each child. It helps forge bonds, and makes each child feel special, and unique.

Love and support is the best gift you can give though. Let the parents know that you are there for them, whatever they need. If they need to have a small break down after nights of truly no sleep - offer a comforting shoulder. That is the best gift, for any parent.
