1. Go heavily medicated.
2. Separate rooms. Period.
3. Learn to say no. Practice in front of a mirror often, and without an evil grin on your face.
4. Set boundaries with your other 1/2. Make them aware of the lack of good-night-fun they will enjoy if boundaries are crossed.
5. Have an escape clause, in the days before you go, complain of a reoccurring head ache. When it gets to be to much 'fun' beg off to your room with a clever smuggled in book.
6. Don't get stuck behind the camera all the time. Have fun doing what you're trying to remember.
7. Vacation does not include couples or family therapy.
8. If they are paying, humor them by sticking your head into the hole of some idiot cut out character board (you know, the one your Mother-in-law always points to sweetly that looks like a pig, "Try that one dear, it's just right, for YOU.")
9. If you have kids, take advantage of them. Pawn them off on your built in travel baby sitters if possible to enjoy at least one grown up meal. They also serve as great distracters if you load them with sugar. The busier a certain 'someone' is spoiling grandkids, well, the less time they have to make fun of your meatloaf, or your house keeping skills, or your hair, or...
