1. No you do NOT need to know every position they every used in their past relationships.
2. Shot gun weddings are so over.
3. Keep secrets. No, I'm not talking about keeping the fact that you are a millionaire shhh. I mean you do not need to tell EVERY little thing. Believe it or not, guys do NOT want to know just how long your leg hair got before you shaved last. Guys, girls do NOT want to know just how GREAT your ex was in the uh, pleasing department.
4. Don't compare each other to in laws.
5. Talk about money early on, get it out of the way.
6. Being a couple is great, wonderful. However, remember - you were an individual before you were a couple. Don't dump that person just because something else came along. Take him or her out for a date once in awhile, have some 'me' time.
7. On that note, don't be afraid of me time. If your other 1/2 wants to go out for a day trip, gasp, without you. Don't freak. Everyone needs a little elbow room once in awhile, it doesn't necessarily mean that they have another wife, and eight kids. Remember, this means you get to return the favor to you.
8. Don't go to bed angry (at least, not without a plan to cook their least favorite dish the next day, and the next day, and the next...).
9. Don't say I hate you or I want a divorce unless you mean it. Sometimes you say things you don't mean, but it puts the doubt there.
10. If your heart isn't saying 'YES!' then don't say 'I do.'
