Poetry: Failing

by Austin Janeway

Created on: September 28, 2007

FAILURE

Open your eyes and seize the day
Take a breath and ready your shoes
You might become a house hold name, as they say
But always remember, you might just lose

They will watch with glaring eyes
Sweat will fall from your brow
They will watch you with despise
All you'll hear is their fearsome growl

But shelter your thoughts, it happens to all
No one is immune to the plight
At some time we all do fall
But to live is to fight

So yes, hurt you will feel
And yes, you fail you may
But no, this idea is not surreal
So go ahead, Open your eyes and seize the day
