Poetry: Pain from love

"Aspirations"

Feel my breath on your neck as I wrap you in my arms
Listen to my sullen voice as I tell you who you are.
Let yourself sink souly into this utopian reality
Hold on to this blissful trust and stay eternally.

Carry my pain on your shoulders while I slink down to the floor
Envelop the anger of betrayal as I show you so much more.
Take me deep inside of you, please show me who I am
Devour this hateful spite in me and take me by the hand.

Allow this peace I offer you to flood your broken soul
Let me take your mangled heart and fill this empty hole.
Embrace the things of good in life and shake off all the bad
Hear me whisper sweetly, you're the best I've ever had.

Wipe these tears from my eyes before they pool at my feet
Hear my desperation and the sentiments I seek.
Hollow out my eyes so I can see the deeper truth
Count the times I've cried again, from wanting to know you.

I know I've disappointed, worst of all made others sad...
I need some self improvement and I need to take a stand.
I fear what things may come of this but if you reach out for my hand...
You'll see what's good inside of me and I'll know who I am.

    You left me for another,
But I do not feel pain.
    I feel nothing.
    I am numb.
    Standing in the snow
    The wind blew against me.
    But
