Poetry: Life's journey

Sleep Little Angel

Only a child beginning to live.
Only a woman beginning to love.
So young, yet trying so hard to mature.
So mature yet trying to hold on to any piece of her childhood.
Too soon to have it all ripped away.

Blue skies painted with white cotton clouds,
As a mother's child drifts into eternal sleep.
The mother holds her child
as she takes her last breath of life.

"Sleep little Angel,
We will love you forever.
Sleep little Dove,
For soon you will feel the Goddess' love.
So close your eyes
And know that we will always love you.
We will carry on slowly, with your angelic guidance.
Protect us, Little Angel
You are in our hearts forever
And know that we will be together again.
Some sweet day soon.
Sleep little Angel
Dream sweetly and sleep."
