I'm going to weigh in on the yes side here only because my maybe leans toward yes and I'm fairly certain that we will ever know the entire truth.

It would certainly be a hard truth to swallow if indeed our US government had fully orchestrated or were even involved in the orchestration of the 9/11 attacks. Nobody wants to believe this. Just like nobody wants to believe that the US government may have had a hand in the Kennedy and King assassinations. It's just too hard of a truth to handle. And so we deny. And deny. And deny.

To me, quoting the government while it is defending itself is ridiculous. It's like the multitudes of guilty persons in prisons around the world claiming their innocence. Even worse, because the government has excellent skills of diversion, they confuse the average person with their language. And I believe that they rarely, if ever, tell the entire truth.

How much of the truth do you think we really know? I'd have to say very little of it. All we really have are theories. There's a theory for every person who has an opinion. And here is mine.

I think that there could have been a motivation for planning an attack on American soil. Military build up and a "good reason" to attack Iraq. Maybe it sounds absurd, but play along with me for just a minute.

Think back to the attack on Pearl Harbor. Thousands upon thousands of men, and yes, even women, signed up for military duty. It was their duty to protect our country. When we are attacked, we must be protected. What better way to help protect the good old USofA than to join the military? Every red-blooded American wants to help out in these kinds of situations. There is nothing like a true tragedy to bring us together.

So here we are decades later, and George Bush Sr. has failed in his task to bring down Sadaam Hussein. George W has stolen the election and is now in the White House, exactly as planned.

What better way to build up troops and have an excuse to return to Iraq all at the same time? The troop build up scheme worked beautifully. The excuse to attack Iraq was not so easy. It took time to brainwash people and work around Congress to get the war started. It took a hell of a lot of spinning and lies to get us where we are today. Sadaam is gone, and we are still in Iraq losing troops every day.

Could the government have orchestrated all of this? Probably not. I say this because I don't think our government is that effective. Could they have been involved in it? Maybe, leaning towards yes. And the reason I think that is because here we are, 6 years later, in a war with Iraq, which had nothing to do with 9/11, and yet we are blaming them for the terrorism. We are naming Iraq as 9/11 terrorists and yet...

The list goes something like this:

One hijacker from UAE
One from Egypt
Twelve from Saudi Arabia
Four Unknown
And One Lebanese

Where are the Iraqi's?

I don't know for sure if the government orchestrated the 9/11 attacks or if they were even involved, and I don't think we will ever have the true and straight answer. But I'm going to have to vote yes on this one. It's all I can do.
