It bothers me when manchester united , chelsea and arsenal are the only 3 considered to win the league. liverpool are right up there with them. the past two seasons they placed over arsenal and now with the funds they needed they can deffinitly compete.
rafael benitez is an amazing coach, and many dont see it. they get frusterated with his rotation system but remember hes one the league twice with valencia in spain, and hes made it to the champions league final twice in 3 years, not bad for a coach. if you look at liverpools average age of their first team players, it is very low compared to most teams. liverpools team in full, is almost just as young as the arsenal youngsters. with new boys fernando torres and babel both yound and highly rated, the future is looking good. gerrard is in his prime, alonso and masherano still have quite a few years left in them, agger at the back doing wonderful and hobbs highly rated.
Liverpool obviously have the talent for the future, and in all areas of the pitch. striker midfeild and defence, liverpool are ready for at least the next 5 years to come right now.
with chelsea going down hill after mourinho's departure, one bad season and they can be ruined, the next leeds perhaps even. man u will still spend and spend and spend, they also have a very talented team, but theres only half as many talented youth players there as there are liverpool. i predict that arsenal will become our toughest competition in the future , with an equally as young team with maybe even more talent.
one things for sure and its that liverpool football club are now set for a good 5-10 years down the road thanks to benitez. and with him still bringing in the best youth players, and with the money to spend on big names, i cant wait to see whats in store for the furture.
