A blessing in disguise for Arsenal, a curse in disguise for Barcelona.
Thierry Henry, one of the best strikers in the world, joined Barca for a fee that doesn't match his caliber. I don't think Henry left Arsenal for a new challenge. He probably went to Spain to retire there. Barcelona is already one of the best teams in the world. For a challenge, you most probably would go to a smaller club to turn them into one of the best. Arsenal's team is full of youth players and leading them would be one of the biggest challenges.
Why complain Arsene Wenger lacks ambition when he invests into youth, looking towards a better future, trying to make Arsenal's future bright?
Looks like Barcelona has gotten the best coup of the season at a price so low that even Zachheus can see. That's only on paper. They are fast turning into the Galaticos. And what happen to them? They were torn apart and finish a few seasons empty handed. Having 5 top strikers isn't good news when having just 3 is already causing problems. I'm sure none of the top players are happy with rotation policies. After all, who doesn't want to play game after game? This will cause internal affairs that won't help the team. Barca is known for the split dressing room where there are four different cliques among the players. Fights are not something not heard of in training.
So, can Rijkaard handle his players?
If he can, I can bet every other defender will start peeing in his pants while preparing to face the Catalonian. If he can't, I feel sorry for the Barca faithfuls.
