I do not think that kids should have phones in school. In high school if they need to have their cellphone they should keep it in their locker, because there is not really a good reason that some many people should be carrying a cellphone around with them all day long. They should be learning not talking with friends during class time. In college people should turn off their cellphone before coming to class, because they are paying thousands and thousands of dollars a year. They should use the class time to learn not talk to friends.
Cellphones can easily get lost or stolen in school, and then there goes all of you numbers and personal information that you stored on the phone. Teachers in high schools are now punishing kids for carrying cellphones and sometimes they will have them taken from you and you have to have the parent come and get it with you. I don't see any good from having a cellphone during class in any level of education because all it does is interrupt the teachers from teaching and the students are distracted if you have your cellphone on all the time and it rings every minute.
Cellphones now can carry games, you can go on the Internet, you can message your friends. They are only designed for communication, and entertainment and therefore they have no relevance to getting an education.
