What an actor you have become
To fool even yourself of the destructive lie from which you cannot run
How you refuse to turn and see that it follows
But when you close tight your eyes you can feel that it grows
Just cage the beast, maintain the facade
Smile wide and stand up straight
Don't let them discover your most secretive gates
Always thinking what you loathe and hate
But never aloud, determine your own fate
Behind closed doors a different tale is told
When your eyelids seal and the smile folds
You find yourself alone in the cold
Within your gates, an unpleasant place
Rarely visited for fear of the beast
You can feel the presence of your unseen leech
Though how you will find it I cannot say
For 'tis a discover we all must make
But when is a matter of deciding to wake
