I will tell you the greatest gift you can ever give to the parents of twins or multiples...BABYSITTING!

If you know a mother expecting more than one bundle of joy from the stork and are headed to her baby shower, consider offering her your services instead of, or along with, a gift. This gesture will even surpass the $500 stroller sitting in the garage.

Use your genius creativity to come up with a glamorous certificate, coupon, or ticket permitting mom and partner to spend a day or night away from home, while you diligently care for the babies. If you cringe at the idea of babysitting, you can always hire a sitter through the red-cross or through other organizations in your area.

There is nothing more needed and cherished than a night out with your partner, without the multiple cries of babies. Ahhh...just the two or you. It is amazing how refueled you feel after a couple hours away from the chaos at home. They will hopefully come home rejuvenated and eager to see their little ones, and you will feel content knowing that you gave them the gift of sanity.

As for you, the babysitter of multiples, this just might be the most challenging and rewarding gift you have ever given to anyone. It may be helpful to bring a friend to help share the duties of diapering, feeding, burping, and spitting up.
