We have given in to terrorism. We have behaved, as a country, exactly as we were expected to as a result of actions taken against us. ie...we are filled with terror. The arduous task of flying has become immensly more miserable because of the tremendous respect we have for the ability of terrorists to get through our defenses.

Innocent citizens are being detained(by authorities) and harassed(by thier neighbors)because they look or don't look a certain way.

Our own government is divided against itself trying to place blame for missing the signs.

Anytime we get an alleged terrorist to trial it is publicised like the OJ Simpson thing. It gives them lots of attention and a lovely platform for thier scapegoats to rant thier beliefs at us.

And we have started a war over this mess. We are acting like paranoid ignoramisis and meanwhile nothing catastropic is happening. They can sit back and watch how one attack has changed our society in all the ways it was meant to.

So we can sit back and flatter ourselves that we are working to snub out terrorism, when in fact, terrorism has already stamped out the American way of life as it had been for 225 years.
