President Bush's Labor Day Visit to Iraq
Watching news on television and in newspaper, President Bush has been seen and heard about his views of the Iraq war.
Mentioning President Bush, he has a Vice-President named Dick Cheney. Another of his top people would be Condaleeza Rice.
Condaleeza Rice is a remarkable woman. Admiring her for attaining the position she is in would be correct. She deserves respect from all of us. She has gone to places that would seem to be at least terrifying. She has spoken with numerous Heads of States.
Prior to President Bush's trip to Iraq, several happenings had given him a bad rating on some of the polls in the United States.
Going to Iraq must have been a major decision for President Bush. Top on this list would be leaving his wife at home in the United States. First Lady Laura Bush was at this time in extreme pain. From watching the news, I noticed the First Lady was having severe neck pain, which apparently might require surgery.
President Bush would have most likely have to decide whether to leave his wife in this condition. The First Lady, seeming to be a strong person, may have given her blessing for the President to go on this trip.
This would be a dangerous mission. Going on a sudden, unannounced visit, would be possibly safer than having this telecast.
The President going on the trip, perhaps, would have been safer than the return. This was, indeed, a dangerous trip.
President Bush going to Iraq, would have most likely, given the troops there a boost in moral, if possible. President Bush, being in Iraq, would show the troops that he believes in the fight they are there to accomplish.
The troops are there to help the people of Iraq. They are supposed to be able to defend their own country, is what some people have stated.
To be able to return to this country would be a wonderful event. The fighting in Iraq must be so very hard. These people are fighting against each other, and the Americans are in a bad situation. That's this writer's opinion.
Even though President Bush went to Iraq, we still have Americans there. Will this trip help this situation in Iraq? Can we bring these people home before thousands more of them are brutally attacked, and killed? Some of these people will be injured
unspeakably.
These people will come home to the Veteran's Hospitals across America. These hospitals are already needing help. How will these people live? Thousands and thousands of Americans are already injured, back home now.
How many more does it have to be? It doesn't matter what your political views are, can you see the people?
