Karma: What you reap, you keep

"What goes around comes around. What comes around stays around".

No, this isn't a discussion of Justin Timberlake's song of the same name. I thought again of this saying when I read this little quote somewhere:

"Nothing can happen to you until you allow it to happen through you."

This sounds sort of true in a way, but maybe not entirely true to me. So what is the truth about this statement, I asked myself?

This is basically talking about freedom. Nothing can ever happen to you, until you freely allow it to happen to you. And this is ultimately your free choice. At some level, you allow everything that happens to you, and around you, and through you. And this is why you are always totally responsible for yourself.

"Life happens through you", means that all experiences can only be of real value to you, when you freely allow them to take place in you, and through you. You need to take part in life freely, for life to free you and to live in you freely. Freedom is acceptance and allowing. The whole Universe on the one hand is happening around you, with you a vital part of it and in it. But, you will never really see this, until you allow the Universe to operate also through you. And you can only do this by you, being you. This being you, the real you, and playing your true part in life is how you allow all experiences and all life to come through you. And so you will then learn as it passes through you.

If things always are allowed to stay outside of you, you can never really learn anything from them. And until you allow and accept all of your experiences as being really connected to the inner you, and so allow them all to then go through you, they can never ever become a part of the real you. You are like a filter, and at some time or another the rest of the entire Universe passes through your filter and you learn from it and so your job or role in your life is then only to give the learning back to the Universe. This then, is the true meaning of "What comes around stays around and what stays around comes around", and so we see that, all affects all and all learns from all.

Let's examine this saying just a bit further.

"What goes around comes around. What comes around stays around".

And shouldn't this common saying only really be saying, "What goes around comes around". Instead of how I actually wrote it a bit further up in my article as:

"What comes around stays around and what stays around comes around",

or at the start of my article:

"What goes around comes around. What
