You'd think it would be difficult to narrow sweets down to a top ten, but it isn't. Of course I am not a world traveler so I have not had the pleasure of tasting all of the world's decadent desserts. It is best that I am not aware of what I may be missing. That said, my list follows:

1. Haagen Dazs or Ben & Jerry's ice cream. This is high-quality, high-fat, heavenly stuff. Haagen Dazs vanilla or coffee ice cream with Mrs. Richardson's Hot Fudge...Mmmmm. HD's Vanilla Fudge is very good as well! And if you are having a blue day, nothing beats the many eclectic flavors that Ben & Jerry's offers.

2. Chocolate. Nuff said.

3. Homemade strawberry rhubarb pie, served warm with a dollop of cream or vanilla ice cream. A flaky crust is the best part.

4. Homemade Hershey's chocolate cake with homemade chocolate frosting and an ice cold glass of milk

5. Chocolate chip cookies...large, golden, and chewy

6. Homemade banana cream pie with real whipped cream

7. An old-fashioned, extra thick, chocolate milkshake

8. My homemade cinnamon rolls...served warm with plenty of icing and a cup of freshly brewed, strong coffee

9. Fresh baked apple pie with a flaky crust and served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream

10. Brownies...who doesn't love brownies?

Of course, the top ten sweets are at their finest if you only partake on rare occasion. (And sometimes, if nobody catches you, for breakfast).
