The gift
A gift was given,
A life was saved,
But what a cost,
A family's grave.
The one unknown,
Her life was spared,
The greatest gift,
A stranger shared.
The cause unknown,
The love, the pain,
One family's loss,

The one who lives,
Her life goes on,
Remembering,

And when I pray,
I thank the Lord,
For life each day.
For the special family who gave the greatest gift of all, their loved one's organs for donation, so that I might live. THANK YOU

Recall my laugh,
And the sweet wine,
