Why?
"Why" is a question we ask now and then,
A question that usually has not an end.
It goes on and on as we ask it once more,
Why are some sad when others just soar?
Our moods are so fickle, they move up and down,
The highs and the lows, they run all around.
Some days are just fine when others are gray,
"Why" aren't we always, happy to stay?
And then in a whisper, an answer comes clear:
"If things were just perfect, you'd never see dear,
That others are hurting and need your kind touch;
You reach out to them and they teach you so much."
"They teach you that people need others to live,
There's so much to learn when you take time to give;
Your life is much richer, so full and complete,
When you live through the hardships, despair and defeat."
"Why" is a question we ask now and then,
A question that usually has not an end.
But now we can see and the reason is clear,
We're helping each other that's why we're here.
