Beaver Creek Resort is a winter paradise whose name alone conjures images of unparalleled luxury. Nestled at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain at an elevation of 8100 feet Beaver Creek offers everything the winter traveler is looking for from fantastic powder (averaging 310 inches a year!) to beautifully groomed beginner and intermediate terrain in 1,805 skiable acres. Beaver Creek boasts 148 runs and 17 lifts across its three village terrain. Start the day up the Centennial Chairlift and access Rose Bowl and Larkspur Bowl. Then move over to Bachelor Gulch for lunch at the Ritz Carlton or a little further down to Arrowhead for a locals favorite at the Broken Arrow. You can work your way back to Beaver Creek Village on skis or by the free resort shuttle if you're tired! Finish your ski day enjoying the apres ski entertainment in front of the Park Hyatt and roast marshmallows and make s'mores by the Hyatt's fire pit!
It may sound great already but there is a lot more to do in Beaver Creek then ski and snowboard. Other outdoor activities include ice skating in Beaver Creek Village and snowshoeing or cross country skiing at McCoy Park atop the mountain. Nordic adventurers can ride the lift up to McCoy Park and back down again when they're finished - no need to downhill ski if you don't want to! And the views up at McCoy make this a worthwhile experience for everyone.
Although the skiing is fantastic, Beaver Creek is also known for its off snow activities. There are several spas including the Allegria Spa at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek located at the base of the mountain. Allegria recently underwent a substantial renovation adding 20,000 square feet in treatment rooms and additional exercise space. Treat yourself to the beautiful and luxurious Aqua Sanitas Ritual and spend the day at the spa including having lunch brought in by the Park Hyatt.
Beaver Creek is also known for its superb dining, and there are numerous options to tempt just about everyone. Splendido at the Chateau is by far one of the most extraordinary dining experiences you could enjoy anywhere in the world. The constantly changing menu emphasizes ingredients that are in season and are frequently locally produced. Beaver Creek's free shuttle service can bring you to the Chateau from wherever you are staying in Beaver Creek. Also fantastic and worth a visit is Grouse Mountain Grill which now offers breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner. If the dining room is full sit in the bar and enjoy the fabulous
