I think President bush was smart to do this. Smart in leadership of the many fighting forces that are there ,representing our country. What is wrong with the president showing up in a hostile country ? The American people have wanted him to go . The only things I have heard on television and in the papers ,were if Bush was over there he would see what it was like for our love ones.
I have to say it people , he went. If President Bush were to light a fire under the backsides of Iraq government , this was the wisest thing that he could have done. I stand up and applaud the man , in that retrospect of his term . President Bush did not have to go, he could have waited and let the next President worry about the mess. Bush probably felt this was something he had to jump start him self . I think he went to Iraq to give the visibility of presence to the people of Iraq , that if he were to keep the U.S. soldiers in Iraq , for there protection . Iraq's Government will have to get off of the power play and get busy.
Smart ! I think it is the smartest thing he has done since he has been in office .Foolish would have been to let some one else take care of it. The people of the United States have been on , " The Bush Beaters Band Wagon " to long now, Give the President a break . My Dad always told me , " You give a man enough rope , he will hang himself". I tend to give the man a chance , for diplomacy sake , I give him the benefit of the doubt , as to whether it was smart to do or not .
I guess what I see what sets him apart from recent Presidents . The ones that gave orders to fire cruise missiles into Afghanistan training camps , and leave it at that. Then you have the time they sent out troops to Somalia , and we tucked our tails and ran from there , because it was making the President Clinton look bad in public interest.
In The Words Of Jesus, " Let he who is with out sin < cast the first stone". Amen
