Imagine the tastiest caramel highlights gently flowing in the breeze on a fun summer day. How about the coolest platinum blond walking the red carpet at that latest Hollywood event. Oh yes. We love our hair and we spend a lot of money on it to have it done correctly.
What? You say you're not spending money to have it done professionally?
Okay. you'll still get results but at what expense?
If someone gave you five gallons of paint and asked you to paint your house you could do it. It doesn't take much. Just dip the paint brush into the can of paint. Place the dripping paintbrush against the walls of your house and brush up and down or sideways. Will you paint your house? Yes. Will you get results and have it be a different color? Yes. Will it look fabulous? Maybe if you take great care doing it and you take all the proper precautions of preparing the walls or the surface you are painting.
Using bleach or lightener in the Hair Industry is the same way.
You can just brush it on your hair and your hair will get results. It will be a lighter color. Great care needs to be taken because one type of bleach application does not fit all.
The next time you decide you want to use bleach just remember, you need to ask yourself: "What are the results I am looking for from bleaching my hair?"
Then and only then will you know the proper mix or blend of lightener required for the job. (This is the point where I would redirect the reader to visit their local favorite hair salon and leave this to the pros.)
Follow that simple question and answer and treat your hair with respect and you too will be on your way to the tastiest caramel highlights or the coolest of platinum blonds.
Good Luck.
