Essays: Escape

Why escape? To keep your composure and sanity of course. Five minutes of meditation or relaxation or whatever you do to get away will help you in everything that you try to accomplish in life. I am a master escapist. I read a good fantasy novel, listen to my favorite composer, or go down to my local beach to get away from it all. I return relaxed and ready to conquer the next life challenge. Nothing can get you down if you have a good method to leave it all behind for a little while. When life gets really challenging I call a loved one and that person usually has something way more complicated and frustrating going on in their life than I do. So I take a deep breath and realize that life is fun and I deserve to be happy. I am the master of my own life. Why let it steer me when I'm driving?
So do whatever you can to stop the frustration right in it's tracks. Leave it all behind while you gather yourself. If you are at work, excuse yourself and go in the restroom and do what the name implies. Rest and give yourself a little room to breathe. Then go back with a new outlook and a refreshed mind. Then you will be able to accomplish what you are trying to do. With a new positive view.
