Is it morally OK to wear fur? It is never OK to kill another living creature. The fur industry is sadistic and cruel. The amount of suffering and pure torture animals go through to become someones coat or accessory of vanity is beyond most peoples imagination. Suffering and torture are suffering and torture no matter how one looks at it. Fur is a luxury product bought to adorn its wearer. It is a vanity and ego builder. Such use must be deemed as frivolous and unnecessary and it is inexcusable to subject animals to suffering in order to satisfy these desires.

Fur comes from trapping and farming, these animals don't just lie down and allow their skin to be nicely removed from their bodies, nor does fur get gently removed from animals that died from old age. Animals in fur factories live in cramped, parasite ridden cages. Trapping kills tons of animals yearly that are "trashed" as the were not what the trapper wanted, bald eagles, cats, dogs, and endangered species. The fur industry uses despicable and tormenting ways to kill, slaughter and destroy. The fur industry beats, electrocutes, poisons, neck snapping and other gruesome methods. Many animals are literally skinned alive. The value is placed in not damaging the fur, with no concern to the animal. No federal humane slaughter law protects animals on fur factory farms, it is all about money and greed. The fact is, there is nothing nice or natural about it. It is BIG business that brings in HUGE money, to feed ego's and add "glamour" to those that purchase the end result.

How could this kind of torture and senseless death be morally OK? There is no excuse.
