Well the question is,why most geeks are atheist? There can be many answers depending on the definition of the two key words.
An atheist is someone who does not believe in a God or a Devil. A heaven or a hell. They do not believe that there is a larger being out there making the decisions.
A "geek" is someone who believes in the facts the proof.Everything is based on facts recorded proof or experiments. They do believe in a larger being just one that can be seen in action science and facts.
Many are viewed as atheist because they put their lives on the line for a hope or faith that they can prove as false. They look at the facts of what everyone looks at.No one has ever had a baby like the "virgin Mary".It is scientifically impossible.
No one has ever parted the sea,or cured the blind by touching them.No one has risen from the dead or brought back the dead.Once again not possible.
Science has proved again and again that these stories are false and that many of these people never even existed. So if we are called artiest because we believe in the things that are real then so be it.I personally will continue to base my faith on the black and white and not the it could have just maybe.
If there is 100% proof then I am more than happy to hear and see it.
