Tips for making Coffee in a percolator depends how much you are making and if you like it bitter or not. But here are some tips that I use to get a really nice tasting cup of Java.
You can buy coffee packets for your machine that you don't even have to measure. Or you can buy it by the can. This is the way I buy because it saves money. I went out and bought a reuseable filter you can wash and use over and over again. But you can purchase the paper filter also.
Let's say your making a whole pot of coffee and the machine makes 10 to 12 cups. You fill your coffee pot to the desire amount of water then fill your coffee machine with the water. Then you put your filter in the machine and put 2 table spoons of perk coffee to every 6 ounces of water . But this is a much easier way to figure out for every cup of water add 2 tablespoons of perked coffee . By doing this your coffee not to strong nor is it to weak. If you don't like bitter coffee you can add a pinch of salt. But like most of us we all try to avoid salt.
Another trick you can use when wanting a something different. You can add a teaspoon of Cinnamon in your coffee filter along with your perked coffee grains and brew away. Then enjoy!
