Most people who start a home-based business are already working and will need to fit their at-home business into their spare time. What is it that will make this effort worth your while? Then ask yourself the WHAT, WHEN, and HOW MUCH questions.

Start with WHY: are you needing extra income to decrease debt? Do you have credit card debt, a heavy mortgage payment, college tuition loans or health-related debt that needs paying off? Are you wanting some extras that your current paycheck just won't afford, such as money into savings, a long dreamed of vacation, a second car? Or are you wanting just enough extra so that you aren't living paycheck-to-paycheck anymore? Is retirement coming and not enough in your retirement fund to allow you to continue in your current lifestyle? Perhaps you want to start a home-based business that has the potential to replace your current income and allow you to retire now.
