1. Men who insist on ordering for you.

Choose a guy who knows you can choose for yourself. This is not only very selfish, but can be a sign that he has control issues. Right now it's just your entree, but tomorrow it could be how you spend your money, what you are wearing, and who you hang out with.

2. Men who cannot laugh at themselves.

You don't want to be with a guy who cannot take a joke. Laughing at yourself is a sign of self-confidence. You don't want someone who takes himself too seriously and doesn't know how to have a good time.

3. A man who makes you choose between him or your family.

You should never have to choose between people you love. If he starts to isolate you from the people you love, he might be hiding something. He should seamlessly blend into your circle of friends and loved ones.

4. "Bad Boys"

It's common sense to avoid the cheaters and abusers, but abuse can come in many forms. Don't settle for someone who ignores you, doesn't take you seriously, is constantly jealous, or constantly criticizes you. Bad boys are hard to maintain, and hard to keep all to yourself.

5. Never date a guy who shouts at his mother.

He'll be shouting at you before you know it. Choose a guy who treats his mother with the same love and respect that you'd like to receive.
