as the sun sets on a summers eve
painting orange and pink shadows
while it peeps out in between the
graphite and silver drifting clouds
accentuating the shadows and depths
spotting the appearing shapes
smiling at the way the mind sees them
as they merge and dissipate seamlessly
everyone seeing different things
as their minds wander in dream like state
the beauty of nature for all to see
smiling in awe, just like when looking at thee
how can we not be inspired or taken in
how can this not lift our souls
lying there now all full of hope
cheered to the bone and inward peace
feeling tactile and humble, and glad
that i have the chance to see the reality
as my life pales into insignificance against
the greater natural world and what it holds
so now i see the aura of life and love
the inner beauty we all possess
the inner beauty that shines through
from within, and shines from the being
a glowing radiance for all that look
just as the flora and fauna do glow
and if we all look deep enough
the beautiful person is there
if you take the time to watch the vision
no not the tele type of vision, but from
the special ones that we all look for
when we seeking to find a love and mate
to keep for our lives, and this i see
when i look at thee, for the glow is bright
for the love doth shine from every pore
and though your eyes, your soul is bared
and the glory that is you, for me to share
that is me, all out, honest and open
and i hope it does not do me down
would not want to make you frown
and the greatest line in all the world is,
don't try to understand me
just love me for being me...
