Maybe not better for car but defiantly better for you, I've seen a difference in how my car runs comparatively. The real difference between the two is that when I use super instead of regular I get better gas mileage. Bah Humbug some people would say so, I tested it. I took the exact same road trip three times each time i used different grade of gas. From Chapel Hill N.C. to Shenandoah, Va. The first time I used regular gas and when I got to the valley I was sitting on an eighth of tank of gas. Filled up with regular there and got back and was sitting on an eighth of a tank keep in mind Iran it down to empty when I got there. The second time I used super unleaded this time when I got to the valley I was just below a quarter of a tank. Did a little more sight seeing to get myself to empty this time and sight seeing in that valley for me is so not worth it I have already seen it all as it is home to me. Same ritual on the way back same results. Then I switched to premium for the third trip and would you believe that when I got to the Valley I was just under a half of tank of gas.
I consider this a controlled experiment and this was actually not even brought about by the Helium article. This was brought about by an argument with co-workers. Being the quizzical person that I am I had to find out. I still fill up here in town every time with regular it's just smart for my money for beating around town. I do however think that the difference is made in the long distance traveling. In a world where we are paying 3.00 a gallon give or take in gas you have to economize. People aren't traveling as much and now we have no choice but to count every mile like it were a breath of life.
