Poetry: Freedom

Freedom's Nightly Jewel
-

I am determined to skin the night for a new jewel of nothingness to inscribe...Not confident what I am probing for or what I will bare.

The fabric of space and time was too inflexible to cleave to, for the instant it was spent.

So I attempt to build a flight of fancy, but the magnate of light selling it's wares would not shine for me.

He had positioned the fee beyond my grasp of kindful thought knowing my being is motionless and grounded by the gravity of the beating heart. All the while he found himself in the midst of incomprehensible design of how I came to be in his vision.

Not allowing his sneering gaze and displeasure contain me,

I stride off the periphery of my sight onto the circumference of the voided bubbles of thought.

I begin to recognize the realm of where and when I had become more than wings of black or white but rather thought or naught, appreciative or contemptuous.

Warm and inviting they call to my senses to pull free and take to the atmosphere.

The lease on my fetters released to the command of my emotions. I fly.

Allowing all and everything to fill and envelop my views of the racing of seahorses flowing into the horizon reaching into the celestial sea.

Suspended vapors still towering beyond my start paint the moment as if perches for ever elevated knowingness.

Colorful emanations gently burst from the ones that sat upon the billows as if the thoughts collide creating even newer existences.

The magnate grew taunt viewing my unscheduled journey, for pinching off enough sovereignty to free my own arrest but only as much as necessary for a glimpse beyond mine own fortifications had fashioned him to hunt and challenged him to revisit my imprisonment.

Beliefs beyond, faulted time, entering light emanating from sparklers and stones.

I, exposed and now punished, am weighed down, my lighted moment ending, and the magnate wedged my moment beneath his touch and thus replaced my existence back in time mine own.

Much as the bird of song retained in the gilded cage. Significant for sovereignty of light but not permitted to set wing.

Now returned to earth with understanding where only to the jester with lost a crown could offer condolences.
