Why IS McDonald's targeting the hip hop community? Well, obviously the people who are in charge of marketing and promotions for Mickey D's are no fools, the hip hop community is one of the largest "communities" in the world.
Hip Hop is EVERYWHERE, MTV, BET, VH1, movies, television, radio, even the news has incorporated hip hop into its daily routine. Why? you may ask, does hip hop have such a wide spread audience and what is the appeal that it has on so many people?
Hip Hop is more than just notes and words, hip hop is filled with influences from Rock and Roll, R & B, Neo soul, Country & Western, and many other genres of music. THIS is its single most appealing feature, you never know what to expect when listening to a hip hop album, and because of this it catches the ear of ANY type of person you can imagine. Hip Hop is in all of us, R.A.P. (rhythm and poetry) its fulfilling and satisfying like "2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" (McDonalds Big Mac commercial from 1975) as you can see even 32 years ago r.a.p. was incorporated in the mcdonald's commercial.
So, Why is McDonald's targeting the hip hop community? Because they would be stupid not to! It's been working for them for years.....why stop now?!?!?
