The reason and ONLY reason I answered no to this question is Because I live in America, in 2007. We don't send our kids off to war! To join Our Honorable Military you must be an adult of at least 18 years of age. This is a Voluntary process.
No parent is sending their child off to war here in the GREAT USA! Our HERO'S join, because they have a desire. A desire to protect our great Country. Our military men and women are unique! They are brave and strong. Not everyone is cut out to be in the military, but the ones that join ARE! They join knowing full well that this world is full of evil people and their JOBS could take them to war.
When you become eighteen you are an adult(not a child). Parents aren't sending their children off to war. Their adult children are making a decision, to join the military knowing full well that that could get them sent to war.
Would you send your child off to the UFC? Would you send your child off to NASCAR? Would you send your child off to be a firefighter? A police man? A teacher, where violence and school shootings are happening constantly?
Unfortunately, We don't get to make the decisions for our adult children? But if your adult child has decided to join the military and is sent to war, I salute you. You have obviously raised a remarkable human. A person that has a lot of guts and courage and heart. God Bless American and Our Military!
