I am ashamed to admit I like SouthPark. Equally (if not even more so), I hang my head when I am forced to admit (or am tricked into admitting) Eric Cartman cracks me up. Not because I like it them, but rather, it is the disappointed look on the person's face when they find out. I'm supposed to be better than that; but, I'm not, and I have no interest in being so.
Oh, we could get into the moral aspects of such a loathsome character, but I'll leave that to the folks who don't understand the value and lessons of over-the-top examples and teaching. I put "SouthPark" and "The Family Guy" in the same genre as "M*A*S*H" and "All In The Family".
I shutter to think what "they" would say to learn that "Stewie" from The Family Guy ranks right up their with "Benjamen Franklin" in my mind.
But on to Cartman...
My favorite really isn't said by Cartman, but about him. Cartman's mother says to 'the boys': "I'm sorry, Eric can't come out and play, he's still grounded for trying to exterminate the Jews." I was laughing even as I typed it.
I don't think I stray too far from the crowd when I say that my favorite quote from Carman himself is the famed: "Respect my a-thor-a-tie!" Especially if your mind's eye pairs it with the Junior Deputy uniform-mirror sunglasses and all.
Eric Cartman-social conscience, political fodder, fat-ass-I can't get enough of him and his little 'Band of Brothers.'

Ah, Eric Cartman. If knew that I loved South Park, as well as knowing that I was into human rights and all for tolerance
I also think that Eric Cartman is awesome. One of the moments that I recall was the episode that featured the band Korn.
