We've got a slew of neat new features for our members. Here's a rundown of what's new, as well as instructions on how to use these functions and tools.

IMPROVED ABOUT ME PAGE

Your About Me page now has two tabs on it. One is for you and your links (the "Writer" view); the other is for your articles (the "Articles" view). Each tab also has an edit view that only you can see and make edits in (your "personal" view), as well as a public-facing view. To edit your About Me page in the personal view, you need to go to "My Helium" in the red navigation bar, then click on the "Edit About Me" in the left navigation bar.

The new Writer view on About Me includes lots of places to add links as well as tell more about you. Here's how to add links and show information:

1. My Helium Favorites: Here you can link to noteworthy Helium titles and articles.

To add titles to My Helium Favorites, you need to leave the About Me page and go directly to a title page on the site. Click the icon with the plus sign ("Add to favorites" icon) on a title page. You'll get a confirmation: "Title has been successfully added to your favorite title list." You can delete a title by clicking "remove" below the title in My Helium Favorites on the About Me page.

To add articles to My Helium Favorites, you need to leave the About Me page and go directly to an article page on the site. The articles can be your own or other Helium members' pieces. Click the icon with the plus sign ("Add to favorites" icon) on an article page. You'll get a confirmation: "Article has been successfully added to your favorite article list." You can delete an article by clicking on "remove" below the article in My Helium Favorites on the About Me page.

2. Featured Article: This is a highlight box on your About Me page that showcases the article of your choice. To do this, go to your My Articles page in the My Helium view and choose the "Featured Article" button under the article title. If you do not specify a featured article, your most recent article is displayed by default.

3. My Info: If you want, here is where you can display your city, state and country. On your About Me page, personal view, you can click a box to turn this information on. By default, this information does not show on your About Me page.
