This is one thing that bothers me really badly, I am an employee at a major retail store and we are pressured to get customers to sign up for store credit cards and it appears to me that this stores goal is to become a credit card company and not to sell clothing as they originally were created to do. Wal-Mart is a great store it is very nice to have one nearby for handy little trips to the store for those forgotten things and all at the low low price. It would be nice if there was a bank inside the store but being a bank itself might be a little too much power within one company and maybe they should leave the banking to banks. If the Wal-mart company really wanted to be involved in banking maybe they could partner up with a banking chain and work together but definitely not start their own bank branch, I think that would cause trouble. But, after all who am I to say it is a bad idea, if they do, we can see what happens and they might even be a better bank, who knows?
