Poetry: My all

If I were a sculptress, I would have but one dream;
To capture this moment and set into clay
the oneness of our bodies.
Then the world would truly know and see what
perfection harmony is.

For I used to sit in the window looking, searching . . .
"Where are you? I need you!"
Then one day as I looked up from scanning the distance -
there you stood;
You had been there all the time.

It was I who had not seen the mist.
Now I cannot fathom any other existence but in you.

It is you I run to when I become
that frightened little girl needing shelter and comfort.
Curling up in your arms, I hear you whisper the words
that make everything right again.
And as I feel your gentle fingers as they stroke my hair,
I shut my eyes feeling the soft tenderness
as you wipe away the tears.

I want to feel your lips as they brush a soft,
gentle kiss across my brow.
The strength of your arms as they surround me
and protect me from the cold outside.

I will not meet you halfway. I will give all.

Our bodies meld together into a sculptre that
leaves no doubt that we were cast for each other.
How I love to explore you!
To feel the curves and shapes that constitute your form.
To kiss the scars that show the pain living can induce.

Although I can't go back, this I promise:

Never again will you stand alone, for I will never
tire of tending to your desires.
My touch will never grow cold, for in you I will never
be satisfied - I will always want more.

You will not find me halfway. I give it all.

And when I look and see the love in your eyes,
the pride in your walk as you escort me through
the door and glide me across the room - I don't worry.
My heart is full, my senses so overtaken that you
cannot avoid being caught up in this spell with me.
This fairy tale will never end.

Now it is the close of another day,
and once again I bury my head in your neck -
Breathing in deeply the spice that is solely yours
(no one could ever fool me).
Who is it that thinks such manliness
can be bottled and sold?
Were my sight to be removed, my heart would still see all -
For my senses are saturated.

You have not met me halfway. You have given all.

My heart bursts with gratitude,
And for this I will never stop inventing
ways to show my love.
Our devotion and innocence will not falter,
for you have fulfilled me,
secured me unto you.
There is no one who can tamper with this work of the gods.

And when you are away, your strength
envelops me wherever I go,
for I have only to close my eyes to taste you.

How is it that I know when you do the same?
I feel it pour out from me,overflowing back to you.
For I am filled with your love!

This fairy tale will never end. We have given all.
