Why would this young woman have a nude photo taken?

A rising star of intelligence, she would have to know the consequences of a leaking of this photo.

I ponder the question, "Why?" I feel an overwhelming sadness for her young fans. That now, it is a somewhat "guilty of pornography" without trial. Personally, I still hold that "innocent until proven guilty" ideal in my heart.

I have not actually seen any photographs of a nude Vanessa Hudgens, and have heard of only one.

A photograph of Vanessa, apparently taken by her boyfriend, privately and not intended for public display. I have heard nothing of "provocative" posing, only the girl standing, smiling, nude and allowing the photography.

The "leak", I can only guess, the boyfriend "showing off" his possession, as if she was a new cherry red Lamborghini. Guys sure can be egotistical and idiotic sometimes. I know. I am one. If, the boyfriend was actually the "leak", he may not be as egotistical or idiotic as I may.

Moreover, I think of Vanessa, allowing this photograph, did it seem like the right thing to do at the time, or something else entirely. That the photo, I hear, does not have any presumption of a sexy, provocative attempt at allure, leads me to only one possible explanation, on the part of Ms. Hudgens. Private photography being a common, and acceptable, method for private self-evaluation of her appearance as it pertains to her chosen profession.

This may sound odd. However, I know many dancers who do such things. Dancers will often permit private, clothed and/or nude, filming when dancing to accommodate an accurate assessment of their "look" and flow of movement to determine if adjustments are necessary.

It is very hard to see ourselves as others see us. A view essential, in a situation where one's career depends largely upon public affirmation of appearance; a camera gives a much more clear view of one's actual "look".

A photograph intended for private purpose only. What a shame that this non-pornographic and private nudity might well ruin this young girl's career.

"What will Disney do?" is the big question now asked would they show compassion and empathy for Vanessa? It would be a shame if they used this to fire Vanessa. Sometimes there really is "nothing dirty going on".
