Recently i have been feeling as though i am slowly slipping into anti-socialism. I really dont look back to see why that is because everyday there is a reminder. I am not that old but already burnt out!
I have been on the hunt for a mature office enviorment! I have spend years with one company that i loved! Yeah there were a few slackers here and there but its all forgiveable and easy to over look if they can be a use in other areas in the office. When there are a bunch of gossip queens and winey babies, then that tends to be a not so good thing. As we recently heard in the news about the 4 or 5 women who have been fired for gossiping at the work place about their boss. Now this may have been something innocent as a one time comment or a bunch of them talking consistanly about it. My guess is that it was consistant. And that is why they were dismissed and never rehired. I feel for the ladies but at the same time they are setting the exsample for the rest of the work place! Yes we all feel the need to comment on something negatively about the work place at some point. But is it really neccessay to do it at the work place? For this is a hard question to answer, all i can say is there is a time and a place for everything.
Finger pointing vs Telling on someone at the job!
Why do employees finger point? Do they not realize that once they finger point out a wrong doing, you the pointer will suffer the same persecution. Lets take lateness for one. We are all victims of lateness. Doesn't really matter why, it happens. And once your late, there is no controll over the "why". But to come into the office with stares or glares is like sitting at the table on judgement day.
Does the finger pointer realize that they are on the verge of creating that rift. Ya know the one that seperates everyone from each other. People then form paranoid thoughts and thus becomes extra fusterated.
Then comes the imprisonment! That is where you start to loose priviledges. All what was once free has been locked away. No more freebies! No more flexible schedules, time off, leaving early, internet access, phone calls ect. You start to get a scheduled routine that you will have to follow. Scheduled luches, days off, break time, dress codes. All in what name sake? So they too can loose the priviledge?
Telling on a coworker is never really encouraged unless you have to. No matter how much you dislike that other person. Before telling on someone at work, think
