to their stress because there is disappointment and frustration at what the lives they lead have become. Many feel like and lead the lives of victims because they feel there are no choices, no hope of change. The externals they fill their lives with, i.e., fancy cars, big homes, boats, etc., don't bring the real joy that they seek. They don't understand why they aren't able to recapture the joy of youth.
The beginning of that understanding comes when one begins to understand oneself. Astrology can be the starting point of that understanding. As a psychological tool, the natal astrology chart, helps to reveal tendencies, abilities, and more that may or may not be known to the individual. It helps to unravel the mystery of how we got to where we are in our lives and how to go about making changes for the better. It brings understanding to why we react and think the way we do in a given situation. It can give hope to those looking for that "light at the end of the tunnel."
Do I believe it is the be-all, end-all, sole answer to changing ones life? No, but what I do believe is that without the willingness to use all the tools available in creating an understanding of oneself, you rob yourself of the chance to truly create that change in your life.
For those who would continue to pooh-pooh away astrology as being of any value, I would say, "Don't knock it, until you've tried it." I've been an natal astrologer for over 30 years and have seen the change it can help bring into people's lives. I've had numerous clients who have told me that when they have gotten into a situation that they didn't understand their reaction to, they picked up their astrology chart and thumbed through it only to find an explanation of why things occurred the way they did.
Perhaps if the "mystique" surrounding astrology were replaced with the practical applications of this ancient science, it would be given a chance to be viewed differently by the general populace and, strangely enough, the scientific community as well.
