Twelve years before the events of the T.V. series, the nine-tailed demon fox attacked Konoha "Leaf" Village. These demon creatures are so powerful and contains almost unlimited chakra or spirit energy. It raised chaos and slaughtered many people, until the leader of the Leaf Village, called a Hokage sacrificed his own life to seal the demon inside his newborn son, Naruto Uzumaki. Thus the story of Naruto Uzimaki began.

However, since the demon was sealed within Naruto, his village saw him as if he were the demon fox itself and mistreated him throughout most of his childhood. Naruto had no friend and everyone frowned upon his existence, however through amazing help from the third Hokage and Naruto's school teacher, Naruto began to feel loved and completed his ninja training.

The main focus of the story is Naruto and his friend's personal growth and development as ninjas, and emphasizes their interactions with each other and the influence of their backgrounds on their personalities. Naruto has a large variety of characters, with complex detailed histories and interesting personalities, and they are also seen to grow and mature with the series, as it spans several years.

Most of the regular Naruto series just focuses on Naruto Uzumake, and his friends Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno and how they work together as a 3 member group along with their teacher Kakashi Hatake. However, through the involvement of some very interestedly evil ninja, the group gets broken up. As the story progresses, Naruto and the village ninjas find out more of the looming threat of destruction and vile plans that a group of deadly ninjas called Akatsuki were planning for Naruto's village and their allies.

The original season end with Naruto and his friends enduring special training to face these new enemies, with Naruto getting special training from Jiraiya the "perverted Hermit," who is actually a powerful ninja technique master. Naruto's friend Sakura Haruno trains under the village Hokage to become a experienced combat ready medical ninja. However, Sasuke Uchiha was influenced by Orichimaru, a ex-member of Akatuski to become evil, driven by the quest for power to defeat his brother for personal agendas. Thus Sasuke Uchiha leaves his village to join with Orichimaru to get more power to kill his brother, who is a member of Akatsuki, for slaughter his own family clan.

Naruto Shippden begins three years after Naruto and the other characters break up their groups to go for more training. The Village Hokage Tsunade hears of movements of Akatsuki in the area and thus takes precautions and even deploys Naruto and new group to investigate the matter. Meanwhile, Akatsuki members attack the "Sand Village" and captures their Hokage Gaara and extracts the sand demon sealed within Gaara, and within that process, Gaara dies. Team Kakashi (Naruto and his group), with Chiyo of Sunagakure and Team Guy (Fellow village ninjas) as their backup, chase after Gaara's kidnappers. After some heated battles, Sakura and Chiyo manages to kill a Akatsuki member while Naruto and Kakashi chases after the other Akatsuki member "running" away with Gaara's dead body.

The Naruto episodes are coming out at the end of every week and you can watch those episodes on popular websites such as Veoh. So far, Naruto has proven to be an exciting anime series with plenty of surprises and amazing character development and theme.
