Ice hockey is a sport that is greatly underestimated for this is a game in which the player must be physically, mentally and emotionally ready for the game. All of the teams have to be willing to give 150% to the game. When I say 150% you might say that a person can only give 100% and I would have to tell you that you are wrong. Giving 150% means that when you have given all that you can give you dig deep and pull out another 50% for yourself and your team. Hockey is a game where there is no I in Team. Hockey is a sport for the young and old alike. There is such split second thinking going on and it is similar to playing football on ice skates and what ever play you may have in mind can change in a second or less. Games have been won and lost in less than a second. Any way you look at the season it is going to be another great one for hockey. I feel that the New York Rangers have the best chance of taking the Stanley Cup home. the New York Rangers have a lot of talent on their team which includes but not limited to Scott Gomez and Chris Drury. The Rangers will need to keep playing smart like they have all year. I don't think that the Anaheim Ducks will make it to the playoffs or if they do they will fold once they do get there. The reason that I don't think they will will win the cup is that they are in a bad mind set at the present time. Because they have won the cup they have gotten lax in staying focused and playing hard.If they don't get into the game and keep their heads in the game the other teams are going to walk all over them. The Ducks need to play hard, smart and play as if they had never won the cup. One thing to always remember is that there is always someone better than you which means you have to play smarter and harder. They just need to play how they did last year and they could win the Stanley Cup again. They already had Jabr so the team is going to be one of the best teams in the NHL. Pittsburgh's Penguins are going to have another great season but when they make it to the playoffs I don't think they will go much further because they are such a young team, (but you can never underestimate the underdog).
