The State of Washington wins prestigious award for their CIMPS in the national competition for good ideas in Homeland Security.
The (CIMPS) Critical Incident Planning and Mapping System, for the State of Washington, was awarded Noblis and the Ash institute, for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard's, John F. Kennedy School of Government as this year's winner of the most prestigious award in Homeland Security. Noblis and Ash institute awarded the State of Washington this highly prestigious award for their ideas and work in Homeland Security.
At the time of the winner's announcement, Dr. Lydia, President and CEO of Noblis said. "Noblis is proud to announce the (CIMPS) or Critical Incident Planning and Mapping system as the winner of this year, national competition of good ideas in Homeland Security. Sharing and discovery of great ideas from different states is how this award program was developed."
The United States has its first statewide system called the Critical Incident Planning and Mapping System or the (CIMPS) for short. This was developed so that first responders in emergencies, has instant access to facility information needed to make critical decision. At present every High School in the United States have been placed in the mapping system, with expansion to airports, state ferries, transportation, public works facilities, Highways, Bridges, local freeways and public building.
The population that (CIMPS) will greatly increase as it expands beyond schools. To critical infrastructure that serves the public through the states.
Noblis seeks to identify, and highlight creative and effective government solution, by working with private and public solutions for the best leadership solution to the nation homeland security issues. Noblis Innovations Award in Homeland Security will recognize the best collaboration between state, local, private and non-profit organization that develop programs and leadership for Homeland Security.
In conjunction with non-profit organization and the Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, will sponsor the Innovations in American Government Awards, for the best of science, technology and strategy us to better the quality of life.
