Being happy while single is merely a state of mind. In today's society, it is understandable why the majority of people are repelled by the idea of being single and alone. Society is bombarded with the image that they should be in a relationship and get married and then that would be the beginning of their new life. The life of having a soul mate and children and then just simply growing old.

To be single and happy, it takes more strength and guts to be satisfied out of the ordinary. But it is alas, a much more admirable accomplishment. To be single and happy means one is capable of being happy with who they are. They learn to be satisfied alone and have a greater sense of independence. And most importantly, they learn to love them self so well that they don't feel the need for a partner and have no problem waiting until the right person comes along. After all, it is better to be single and happy then to be in an unhappy relationship for relationships sake. Thus, being single and happy is far from a myth
