Where would you like us to put these people, in a jail near you? If so, give us your address and we'll consider transferring them to your neighborhood.
These people are not criminals. They are either Prisoners-of-War or enemy combatants. If you believe in the Geneva Convention as being the ruling authority on these prisoners than reread the Geneva Convention because according to it, these guys, because they were not wearing and identifiable uniform at the time of capture, are all subject to execution as spies.
Maybe we should just execute them after we drain as much information out of them that we can. Why should we keep them alive and have the cost of food and medical care?
The only down side I see is if they were to escape the only place they have to go is Castro's Cuba. He may or may not welcome them. If he does it gives us a good reason to invade Cuba for real this time. I know for a fact there are plenty of people willing to come to that party.
Guantanamo Bay is the most logical location to put these guys. If they escape, they can't immediately hurt us plus they come under the jurisdiction of the Military Courts and not some liberal U.S. District Court Judge with an agenda.
Keep them there or kill them all, just don't bring them here.
