This is how you catch a monkey. Get a coconut, or a gourd or something similar, drill a hole in it, just barely big enough for a monkey hand to fit through. I suppose it depends on the monkey you want. Place a big juicy nut, exactly the size of the hole, inside the gourd.
The monkey will reach in to get that nut. His hand will fit going in, then he will grab the nut and his fist will be to big to fit through the hole going out. Did I forget to say tie the gourd to a tree? If not you just lost the nut and the gourd and the monkey. Otherwise you will definitely have a monkey caught, and he will not ever let that nut go. You can walk right up to him, hit him on the head with a club, his hand will still be clutching that nut. And even if that monkey has seen one of his comrades caught this way, he will still do it. Stupid monkeys always go for the nut.
