I am an esthetician so I treat mostly adult acne. And although usually minor, still very important to the individual. I want to get one thing out here in the beginning, drink your recommended amount of water daily. It will do wonders for your body and skin. You need the water to flush out your systems and that includes your skin. Teen acne is very normal. Most people experience it. But some times people with very oily skin, don't grow out of it. There aren't very many things that contribute to teenage acne. You've got it, it's normal and should go away. But say you've never had acne and then you go away to college and about the time that you graduate or your senior year, you've developed a problem. Your face is broken up into areas that correspond with your body and the state of health that you are in. Say you turn 21 and start drinking really heavily. You could start to see some pimples popping up on your chin. Your chin directly links to your liver. Or lets say that you just started a new job or got promoted-acne on your jawline. Stress shows up on your jawline. If you have really bad allergies, you might notice those horrible bumps along your sinus's. The point of the matter is that usually all adult acne is based on hormones. But not the teenage hormones that got you through puberty. The kind of hormones that YOU cause. You need to de-stress, and de-tox your body and it will show in your face. Wash your skin. And not just with a bar of soap, go spend $25 and get something from your local esthetician that will work. Ex foliate! If you have dead skin blocking the oil in your cells-you will always break out. Number ONE thing always DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!
