Having your ex as a friend

A frog in love would not be enchanted to learn that her beloved had turned into Prince Charming. Ironically, love is all the same. Once two people decide to end a relationship, your no longer lovers, nor are you suppose to be friends. A frog can not love Prince Charming. It just wouldn't work. Can you think of anything worse than keeping an ex as a friend? Talking from personal experience, not a good idea!

My ex broke me. The whole time we were friends I was still madly in love with him. And there is nothing worse than being someones doormat. That is what happens. All respect is gone. You know too much about eachothers personal life to ever regain that respect and one of you is left feeling like there just might be hope. Maybe one day we'll get back together. Maybe your kidding yourself!

Lets go back to that frog shall we. People chance, they go off in different directions. Once one door opens you close another behind you. When your lover turns into Prince Charming your suppose to close the door behind you. Don't drag your heart through the pond. It will hurt and you will regret it. I've tried the friends with ex thing too many times and ultimately just don't try and make nice, don't try and be something your not by holding onto a failed relationship and don't try to change your ex by being friends and staying close. It won't happen!
