GIVE UP DRIVING?
However, perhaps that is what we all should do to please the unholy cabal of zealous, lazy police, self-interested politicians, and a3ll assorted busybody's whose Life's ambition is to curvb individual freedom.
The argument for speeding tickets is that they speed up justice. The argument for such summary justice is the old one of " if it saves just one life it must be worth it".
does anybody really believe that zealouts actually believe or care whether it saves lives for not? I believe that they do not, that they are only interested in their own self-serving agendas.
How do I know this? Because, if they really believed that a mile two per hour above the limit was causing carnage, then they would be screaming, if they cared, for the abolition of the motor car, altogether, or at least for governors to be fitted to physically prevent them exceeding the speed limit..
In other words no vehicle would be able to exceed 30 mph!
Somewhat draconian for most of us, I expect, As least here, in the UK.
There are lots of ways to avoid tickets, too many to list here, but I feel I would like to expand the questions a little. Here, we are, believe it or not, the most snooped on nation IN THE WORLD! That's right, The inventor of democracy and all that.
15,000,000 cc cameras, covering roads, shops, everywhere. That's about 1 for every 4 men, women and children It's more than North Korea has.
Using driving as an example, cameras are a way to criminalise millions of previously
respectable people, thus producing more revenue and, very sinister, increasing the State's control over them.
And nobody has to go to court!
("there you go, Son,60 Quid and 3 points on yor licence. Saves time, doesn it")
Certainly does. It is estimated over here that, if only 10% of charged drivers elected to refuse the ticket and plead not guilty, then the whole system would collapse.
We all are entitled to a fair trial but are being bullied and intimidated into signing away our rights to one.
Is this why two of my uncles went the bottom of the ocean in WW1 and WW2?
On a more positive note, there ARE things we can do. Plead NOT GUILTY
for exampke.
Remember, when you greceive a threatening letter from the police, demanding to know who was driving your car, subject to 10000 fine or failing to do so, that the threat is empty. Nobody can force that kind of response! A letter in reply, stating that you cannot sign the form as it is irrelevant to you, so you are returning it unsigned, reminds everyone that it is nobody's obligation to prove their innocence or guilt but the prosecutor's.
Have your day in court. It won't hurt any more if you lose. But let's win. let's maybe write more about it, too.
