When Choosing a Doctor, you should always know exactly what you need and want. First, narrow your selection by the type of doctor you need,(IE: OBGYN,Podiatrist,Psychiatrist, etc.) Second, choose only a list of doctors in a specific area that's most convenient to you (IE: city, state, zip, local area). Third, if you have an age/religious preference continue to narrow down your list even more. Fourth, now that you have a much smaller list, do your homework, research all of the doctors in your list. Look at their education, experience, and background. This is not hard and it should not be a time consuming task if you thoroughly narrowed down your list. Fifth, once you have completely accomplished the process of elimination, you should now have an ideal doctor in mind thats perfect for you. Now before you pick up the phone to call and get that perfect doctor, make a top 3 list. Write down the top 3 doctors that you see as ideal for you, number 1 being your top choice. We do this as back up just in case the doctor you really, truly wanted is not taking new patients or something else. That way you are prepared and ready to try the next doctor on your list that is just as great as the first. This is a sure way to get a doctor you need and want. Congrats! Welcome your new doctor into your life! A great doctor is worth all the work you put into finding him/her! Enjoy:)
